Journal reviewer
I contribute peer review to research in language education and educational technology. My reviews examine whether the design, analysis, theoretical framing, ethics, and reporting support the claims being made.
Recent reviews have included quasi-experimental research on virtual-reality-supported EFL reading, design-based research on offline digital folktales for local-language learning, and a review article on feedback research and L2 writing.
Review focus
- Research design, sampling, measures, and quantitative or qualitative analytic transparency
- Alignment among theoretical framing, evidence, interpretation, and the scope of conclusions
- Ethical safeguards and clear documentation for research involving school-aged learners
- Constructive recommendations that strengthen methodological rigour, evidential grounding, and reporting quality
