Teaching philosophy
My teaching sits at the intersection of language education and applied linguistics, with Assessment for Learning (AfL) at the centre of my practice. I treat learning as a social, co-constructed process, so my sessions combine concise input with practical workshops and research-led discussion. Students contribute actively to shared academic enquiry.
I use guided inquiry to help students identify patterns in educational theory and practice. Assessment is made transparent through co-constructed rubrics and structured peer assessment. This collaborative approach helps students understand criteria, monitor their learning, and use feedback to develop both their work and their scholarly identity.
